Psychology studies the human psyche, behavior, and mental processes. This diverse field has roots in biology, medicine, philosophy, religion, and history. As a result, students gain a broad knowledge of these areas in addition to exploring sensory function, learning, memory, human development, emotion, and motivation. Through core courses, electives, individual research projects, and small group seminars, the program encourages a critical evaluation of psychology's various theoretical perspectives, its past and present accomplishments, and future directions. A Bachelor of Arts degree option is also available.
