After Registration

If you’ve already registered for a course, below are answers to some questions you may have about the steps leading up to the start of your course.

How do I activate my myNEU account?
It takes two business days after your registration is submitted to the Registrar for processing for your myNEU account to be ready for activation.

myNEU accounts are activated online at http://myneu.neu.edu by clicking on “How do I get a myNEU username and password?”.

More information about your myNEU account and technology services can be found on the Information Services website.

I registered after the start of the term – when will I have access to my courses?
You will have access to your courses two business days after your registration is received by the Registrar. Please bear in mind that add/drop forms filled out in class do not necessarily reach the Registrar immediately and courses added in that manner may take longer to appear in Blackboard.
If you do not see your courses in Blackboard, and they have already started, please check your schedule in the myNEU portal to verify that your registration was processed properly.

I’m registered – why can’t I see my courses in Blackboard?
Has the course started yet? Courses are not made available in Blackboard until their start date.

How long ago did you register? After registering it may take up to two business days for your course to appear in Blackboard.

If the course has started and it’s been more than two business days since you registered, check your schedule in the myNEU portal to ensure that your registration was processed properly. If you don’t see your course(s) in your schedule call the Registrar at 617-373-2300. If the course shows in your schedule, but is not appearing in Blackboard, call the CPSBlackboard help desk at 866-847-1573.

How do I buy my required textbooks?
About a month before the start of your course, information about required textbooks will be posted on the Northeastern University bookstore website. You will need your course number, and key number to find your textbooks. To contact the bookstore directly call (617) 373-3182 or (617) 373-2286.
