Co-ops and internships are great ways to learn industry specific on-the-job skills and develop a professional network within desired career fields. Students who have participated in an internship or co-op successfully gain a competitive edge and may even receive an offer for full time employment after graduation. In today's job market, getting work experience during your degree program is a smart move. Dates for 2010-2011 are as follows:

Fall term: September-December. Winter term: January-March. Spring term: April-June Summer term: May-August

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but it's a good idea to apply at least a month before you want to start the position.
