Co-op: Data Analyst Intern at ImEx Cargo LLC

Global Logistics Data Optimization and Intelligence –This co-op allowed me to focus on transforming fragmented operational data from international air freight and domestic trucking operations into actionable business intelligence. This involved consolidating data from multiple sources across global supply chain processes, creating unified reporting systems, and enabling data-driven decision-making for a logistics company managing complex international shipping routes with varying cost structures and performance metrics.

I tackled this organizational challenge by first establishing a robust data foundation—gathering and cleaning logistics data from multiple sources using Excel and Python to ensure consistency and quality. I then transformed this raw data into structured, analysis-ready formats using Power Query and created tailored Power BI dashboards with advanced KPIs for different operational teams. My approach centered on bridging the technical-business gap by collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand their analytical needs, then translating those requirements into automated reporting workflows that delivered both detailed trend analyses and real-time visual tools. This systematic approach enabled non-technical decision-makers to easily interpret complex logistics data and make informed strategic choices through weekly, monthly, and on-demand reporting solutions.
