CPS adopts University’s online attendance verification process

As part of the College of Professional Studies’ (CPS) continuous efforts to streamline the student registration and enrollment processes, CPS is adopting the University’s online attendance verification process called “I Am Here”.

Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, the first day of the summer 2011 quarter, all students will be required to verify their intent to enroll in CPS class(es) through the student portal, myNEU. If they do not complete the verification process by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 18, they will be dropped from their class(es).

Instructions on How to Complete the “I Am Here” Process

The link for “I Am Here” will be available when students login to their myNEU account, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5. Once they have logged in, they want to click “Review/Confirm Class Schedule”, and select either “Confirm Attendance” to verify their summer classes, or “Modify Schedule” if they want to make a change.

If students do not receive a “Successful Completion” message (show below), they have not reached the end of the procedure and must start again.

All students should print or save a copy of the confirmation page for their records; if there are any issues, we will need proof of their completion to help them re-enroll in courses.

Are they receiving this email in error?

If students will not be taking classes this summer, they need to drop them from their schedule. If they need to contact the College, whether in person or via email, they must bring their NUID number with them, or include it in their email.

To find their NUID, students need to login to their myNEU account and click the Self-Service tab. Their NUID is listed under “My Information”, which is at the top of the left column. Their NUID is not the number on the front of their Husky Card.

Drop Deadlines

Students should reference the Office of the Registrar website for drop deadlines.
