Since 2009, Carol has been teaching doctoral courses at Northeastern University and has served as chair for many dissertation committees. Carol’s administrative preK-12 experience includes Title 1 Director, Director of Special Education and Assistant Superintendent of Schools in several school districts. She began her teaching career as a special needs teacher at the elementary and middle school level. Special areas of focus for Carol are leadership for improved educational systems, social justice, teacher collaboration and mentoring, community service learning, 21st century teaching and learning, professional learning communities, curriculum development, special education, personnel and multi-cultural studies. Carol has hosted high school students from Argentina, Brazil and Japan for many years and participated in a school delegation to sister city, Shichigahama, Japan.
