About

I am a writer and documentary filmmaker. My debut feature All Kindsa Girls screened at film festivals and art house theaters in London, Toronto and throughout the U.S., is featured in Paul Sherman’s book Big Screen Boston, and was short-listed for the PBS series POV. I studied Shakespeare and wrote poetry as a literature major at Goddard College, have a BS in Business Administration & Finance from Boston University, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University. I have written several narrative screenplays, including adaptations, and published articles about Shakespeare, screenwriting, and film. My new feature-length documentary, Nothing Is Truer than Truth, based on the book Shakespeare By Another Name, was released by Gravitas Ventures in February 2019 and is available on iTunes, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and several other platforms. In addition to teaching at Northeastern, I teach screenwriting, film, and literature at Lesley University, Lasell University, and Grub Street Center for Creative Writing. I served as Judge for the Women in Film & Video New England Screenwriting Competition, as a panelist for the Rhode Island Council on the Arts Screenwriting and Playwriting Fellowship, and I currently work as a manuscript consultant for screenwriters. I also served on the board of directors/trustees of Women in Film, The Next Door Theater, and The Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship.
