Christa Dhimo is the Founder and Lead Consultant for Impono LLC, an advocate consultancy for early stage biotech companies, Women Business Enterprises and Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts/Design-Math (STEAM) startups and small businesses. Christa’s 25+ career has placed unique emphasis on business models that integrate the Sales, Operations, Finance and People side of business. Impono is her fourth ownership venture in two decades, where she oscillated between full-time and consulting work.
Christa’s current client portfolio includes early-stealth-stage LifeStory Health, Inc., a business innovating precision medicine through biomarker discovery unique to female biology, where she has served as Chief Advisor and Interim Chief Business Officer driving the company’s biotech business strategy since 2017. Her primary role is assuring an efficient and effective foundational strategy rooted in best biotech practices. The scope of her role includes integrating scientific discovery and development with a medical and regulatory strategy in order to offer LifeStory Health’s unique technology to patients worldwide. She is also an Investor in and the Chief Advisor for an early-stage neuroscience company, Gamify Science, providing strategic guidance and funding support, and other early-stage science-based companies.
Other Impono clients are proudly served by highly capable Impono Associates, enabling Christa to design, develop and teach Biotechnology Enterprise courses at Northeastern University while strengthening the overall Biotechnology Enterprise Program strategy, serve on the Board of Directors at Dreams Soar, Inc. in support of girls and young women in global STEM Education, and provide guidance as the Chief Enterprise Advisor for the Women’s Brain Project in Switzerland. Christa’s biotech and STEM network remains strong with connections from several bioscience companies including ImmunoGen, Solid Biosciences, Sunovion, Alnylam, Lyndra, Lantheus, Blue Earth and Biogen as well as leaders in Armed and Federal Services supporting more girls and young women entering the STEM/STEAM fields.
Prior to founding Impono, Christa was the Vice President of US Strategy and Execution at Blue Earth Diagnostics, Inc. Hired as a full-time employee during an accelerated business and product launch, she was in charge of evolving and integrating their R&D and Regulatory plans from UK Headquarters with the early-stage commercial strategy in the USA’s subsidiary. Consequently, she also led the efforts to fully staff a high-functioning, high-performing medical, commercial and operational team for Blue Earth’s first product launch, Axumin® while she served as the lead on Alliance Management. She then finalized Blue Earth’s USA business operations before successfully completing her assignment.
Before Blue Earth, Christa created and led a global Strategic Programs department at Lantheus Medical Imaging to drive a company reset, prepare for a successful IPO, and formalize their Strategy and Business Development discipline. While there she reported to the CFO, COO and ultimately the CEO. Her many achievements include finalizing the asset purchase agreement and commercialization for Quadramet®, initiating the global expansion of DEFINITY®, completing then implementing their Canadian Radiopharmacy divestiture, overseeing investment and partnership decisions for Isotope and Product Portfolios, and leading multiple strategic initiatives across all scientific, medical, regulatory, quality, manufacturing and commercial functions in preparation for a successful Initial Public Offering.
Christa has a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University and Master in Management (Informatics) from the University of Dallas. After studying pre-law as an Archer Fellow at Suffolk University, she transferred to the University of Massachusetts where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing.
