Dr. Walker Waite has over a quarter century of project management experience, spanning nearly a dozen nations and 13 different industries across North America and Europe.  She is a leader in the field of global change initiatives, managing major international projects and guiding government, academia and corporate organizations toward sustainable performance. Among her multibillion-dollar global project clients are Saab, Nortel, Discovery, Bechtel, Pasteur Merieux Connaught, Astra Zeneca, USAID, ABC/Disney, MTVN, IBM, ONCOR and NJDOT. 

Dr. Walker Waite is one of the longest serving PMI volunteer leaders, having held PMI voluntary leadership roles since 1991. She is serving as a Director in the GAC (Global Accreditation Council) 2016-current, and previously as a Director of the International PMI Board of Directors (2013–2015).  Formerly she served on the PMI Board Volunteer Advisory Committee (2009–2012), first as a member and then as Committee Chair (2011–2012). She was the president of the PMI Washington, DC (WDC) Chapter, following her tenures as Executive VP and VP for certification and education (8 years). She was the first regional advocate for PMI Region Five and was recognized multiple times by the PMI WDC Chapter for outstanding service.

Since 1991, Dr. Walker Waite has been a featured workshop leader/presenter at 8 PMI symposiums and multiple business forums. She authored numerous publications, including, “Sustainability of Performance for Technology Innovator Firms in Business Environments Exhibiting Turbulence,” “The Cross-Applicability of PM: A Vehicle for Org Transition in the Implementation of Multi-Media Business Communications Platforms” and, “Changing the Organizational Culture.”  She is currently co-authoring both a book with her husband, Alan, The Hidden Hand of Project Management and a text, Transformational Project Management.

Dr. Walker Waite earned her MBA in international business at George Washington University, and took her PhD in organizational behavior and development, strategic innovation and entrepreneurship. She holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) ® credential and is a graduate of the 2002 PMI® Leadership Institute Master Class.  She has lived and worked overseas and speaks German, French and Spanish, and began her career as an FM Radio disc jockey and television news anchor.
