About

After graduating from Cornell University in 1990 with an engineering degree, Matt Rubins entered the world of finance and spent 20 years there, first as an investment banker and then as a venture capitalist. His venture career spanned 13 years at M/C Venture Partners, a $1.4 billion private equity/venture capital firm based in Boston where he focused on technology, media, and telecommunications. In 2011 he moved to the operating side when he joined Fullbridge, an educational technology company that developed blended/hybrid programs in business and entrepreneurship, where he led the curriculum development team. He then led corporate development for an education content development company, Six Red Marbles, where he led the sale in 2016. He is currently a General Partner with LearnLaunch Fund+Accelerator, Boston's Ed Tech Incubator, and an active angel investor through LaunchPad Venture Group and Red Bear Angels. He also runs the Law Business for Abilitie, Inc., a global leader in business simulations for eLearning. Matt has been teaching the Digital Media Entrepreneurship class at CPS since 2016 and has also taught Entrepreneurial Finance at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business.
