About

I have worked at Northeastern University since 1997, and enjoy and value the Graduate School of Education's growth and commitment to teacher preparation and professional development. I worked in public schools for over 15 years as a speech pathologist, educator of deaf children, special educator and department chair and high school guidance counselor and also held positions as an University instructor, student teaching practicum director/supervisor, and educational consultant/advocate. As a full-time faculty member in the School of Education, I teach an introductory and an advanced special education courses and moderate disabilities practicum. I also coordinate the MAT + program in special education and am the Lead Faculty in Special Education. A highlight of my work involves advocacy, and I volunteer throughout MA as an educational advocate for students in foster care.
