Professor Farlekas is currently CEO of Social Equity Investment Solutions, LLC. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Fairfield University as well as an Advisor to JUST Capital. Previously, as Head of Global Equity for IBM’s Retirement Fund’s Defined Benefit Plan, she was responsible for $14.5 billion of global equity. She also had direct oversight responsibilities for the Fund’s externally managed non-U.S. portfolio and directly managed six passive global portfolios. In this role, Noradeen was also responsible for all in-house investment management, operations, and trading. Prior to this role, she was Head of Global Equity for IBM’s Defined Contribution Plan, where she had oversight responsibilities for $12 billion of 401(k) global equity assets. Noradeen previously worked at Entergy Corporation and American Standard as a Senior Investment Manager and Senior Financial Analyst, respectively.

Noradeen recently completed her Doctorate in Law and Policy from Northeastern University with a research focus on social finance in which she explored combining impact investing (Pay for Success initiatives) and philanthropy to increase educational outcomes for students living in concentrated poverty. Her research included the study of eight educational programs, including various pre-K through 12 models and Promise programs. Noradeen also received an MBA from Northeastern University and has a BS in Mathematics and a BS in Economics/Finance from the University of Scranton.
