Prashant Mittal is an accomplished data scientist, professor, and consultant with extensive industry experience. Most recently, he was Data Science lead at Lincoln Financial Group, a Fortune company, where he managed a team of data scientists and leveraged natural language processing and statistical modeling to provide guidance on managing disability claims. 

In addition to his role at Lincoln Financial, Mittal was the lead professor of the Analytics and Data Science graduate program at the University of New Hampshire. Over two decades of teaching at four universities, he taught numerous courses in machine learning, statistics, programming, health analytics, bioinformatics, and data applications. 

With extensive experience as an analytics consultant, Mittal has worked across various industries, including retail, insurance, fitness and healthcare. He has a strong background in healthcare and population health, working with large hospital systems and grants from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). He is adept at analyzing healthcare claims data, electronic health records, and national public health surveillance data. A prolific writer, Mittal is the co-author of multiple journal articles and reports on research in public health, education, and business.
