About

The educational background of Dr. Bari Courts includes a PhD from Capella University in Organizational Management, an MBA in Management from the University of Cincinnati and an MHA in Healthcare Administration from Ashford University. In addition, he has a BS in Mathematics from Kenyon College. His time at Capella and Ashford were spent entirely online so he is very familiar with time commitment and other issues associated with completing a degree online. It is not easy, but it is very rewarding.

Dr. Courts has been teaching online for over 15 years now. Courses he has taught include e-Commerce, Economics, Management, Organizational Behavior, Research Methodology, and Statistics. His professional background includes some time in the insurance industry and a position as a project manager for a major ERP software implementation. He is also am a small business owner of a small self-storage business just outside of Cincinnati.

Professionally he is a board member of two organizations, conduct presentations on various topics, and write course curriculum. His research interests include writing about social media. His most recently published article is titled The Influence of Social Media on 21st Century Leaders.

Bari's family life is somewhat unique; he and his wife have six kids, four of which are adopted and who are from Russia and Africa.

In his free time he stays active by playing soccer for exercise, and singing in both a barbershop chorus and barbershop quartet. All the activities keep him out of trouble... most of the time :)
