Shaunna Harrington

Shaunna Harrington teaches in the Master of Arts in Teaching program and the Master of Education program, and is the faculty lead for the Learning & Instruction concentration. She began her career as a social studies teacher in the Boston Public Schools, and has continued to focus her teaching and activism on equity and justice in K-12 education. Her research area is history of education, and she has written and presented on a variety of topics from community schools created by Black parents and activists in Boston in the 1960s to American colonial education in the Philippines in the early 20th century. She is the President-Elect for the Massachusetts chapter of ASCD.
