Biography
Bruce LaFlamme has been a part-time faculty member at Northeastern University for over 45 years teaching undergraduate courses in the Health Management concentration. Before his retirement from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services as a supervising program analyst, he evaluated human services providers on their organizational effectiveness in providing residential and vocational supports to individuals with developmental disabilities including autism. He continues to consult with a number of health and human service agencies in Greater Boston regarding staff training and development and quality improvement activities. He is also a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with previous experience in mental health and psychiatric emergency services. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maine and a Masters of Social Welfare from the State University of New York-Albany. His leisure interests include golfing, hiking, reading, and traveling across the country (pre-Covid-19) visiting national/state parks and other natural attractions with his spouse of 46 years.
