About

Chong Kim-Wong serves as the Vice Chancellor and Dean of Students at Northeastern University.  In her role, she works to engage, advocate for and keep the pulse on our students.  She also oversees various departments including Residential Life, Housing Services, Off Campus Student Services, Residential Safety and Security, and Cultural and Spiritual Life.  Prior to arriving at Northeastern, Dr. Kim-Wong received her Bachelor of Science in secondary education and her Master’s of Education from the University of Vermont. A “Double Husky,” she earned her Master’s in Business Administration and doctorate in education from Northeastern University. Her dissertation was on “The Racial and Ethnic Identity Development of Korean American Transracial Adoptees and its Impact on their College Experience”.  As a committed educator, Chong has also served as adjunct faculty at both Northeastern and Suffolk University. Chong lives in Dedham, Massachusetts, with her husband and daughter and has a love for miniature dachshunds.
