Three Words to Describe Northeastern:
Innovation | Learning | Transformative
Getting a degree while life is happening isn’t always easy. How have you faced and overcome some of these challenges?
During my time at Northeastern, I encountered challenges that tested both my confidence and adaptability, the most notable being imposter syndrome. I often questioned whether I truly belonged in certain spaces or deserved the opportunities I had. Instead of letting these doubts define me, I turned them into a driving force for growth. I embraced leadership roles, collaborated with diverse teams, and sought out opportunities that pushed me beyond my comfort zone. Through these experiences, I discovered the power of resilience and innovation. I learned to view challenges not as barriers but as opportunities to learn and improve. Whether a success or a setback, every step became a lesson in self-trust and growth. These moments honed my technical skills and deepened my empathy and understanding of others, which are invaluable traits I carry forward. My journey at Northeastern has been a transformative one, allowing me to truly embrace my potential and redefine what I believed I was capable of achieving.

“Northeastern is more than an institution to me—it’s a place that has helped me unlock my potential and transform challenges into stepping stones toward success.“
What inspired you to join the Northeastern community?
Northeastern’s emphasis on experiential learning and its vibrant, diverse community were the biggest draws for me. I was looking for a place that would not only enhance my academic knowledge but also provide real-world experiences to prepare me for future challenges. The university’s strong focus on collaboration and innovation resonated deeply with my own values. Since joining, I’ve had the opportunity to take on leadership roles, volunteer for impactful events, and explore cross-disciplinary learning. However, adapting to a new academic culture and balancing multiple responsibilities wasn’t always easy. These challenges, though, pushed me to grow, think creatively, and develop resilience. Northeastern is more than an institution to me—it’s a place that has helped me unlock my potential and transform challenges into stepping stones toward success.
What has your journey at Northeastern revealed to you about yourself?
My journey at Northeastern has been more than just academic — it’s been a process of personal transformation. I’ve learned to embrace challenges, trust my instincts, and be more open to growth. I’ve discovered strengths I didn’t know I had and developed skills that are shaping my future. I’m grateful for the opportunities to connect with inspiring people, challenge my own limits, and truly explore what excites me. Northeastern has given me the space to grow, and I’m excited for the future and the impact I can make. I’m thankful to be part of such a vibrant, inspiring community.
The environment here encouraged me to think critically, approach challenges strategically, and embrace a mindset of continuous learning. One of the most profound skills I’ve gained is the ability to navigate complexity—whether in academics, collaboration, or decision-making. I’ve learned to balance ambition with empathy, staying grounded while striving for excellence. Northeastern has shown me that growth isn’t just about achieving goals but about becoming more resilient, innovative, and purposeful in everything I do.
Most importantly, remember that it’s okay to not have all the answers. Higher education is as much about discovering yourself as it is about learning new skills.
What advice would you give to others considering higher education?
My advice is to embrace higher education as a journey of exploration, not just achievement. Whether you’re a student, faculty, or staff, approach it with an open mind and curiosity. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself, step out of your comfort zone, and take risks—you’ll be surprised at how much you can grow. Build meaningful connections with those around you; learning doesn’t just come from books or classrooms but also from shared experiences and diverse perspectives. Most importantly, remember that it’s okay to not have all the answers. Focus on progress over perfection, and allow yourself to evolve with every challenge and opportunity. Higher education is as much about discovering yourself as it is about learning new skills.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I see myself as a product manager, leading cross-functional teams to develop innovative tech solutions that solve real-world problems. I envision driving projects from ideation to launch, blending my technical expertise and project management skills to create seamless user experiences. I’m excited about collaborating with diverse teams, honing my leadership abilities, and delivering products that have a lasting impact. My goal is to be a trusted leader in the industry where I can continue to grow and inspire others to innovate and excel.
What are some of your hobbies and passions?
Hiking is my way to disconnect and refresh—there’s something peaceful about being outdoors that helps me clear my mind and recharge. I also love paper quilling and coloring, as they let me express myself in a calm, creative way. On top of that, I’m an avid podcast listener, always seeking out new stories, ideas, and ventures. I’m fascinated by the world around me and enjoy discovering fresh perspectives and exciting trends—keeping me constantly inspired and engaged.
