About
Dr. Bibi holds the title of Professor Emeritus at Canisius College. A product of the British elementary and secondary education system, Dr. Bibi received a BS from the University of Illinois, a Master’s degree in Cardiopulmonary Sciences/Clinical Exercise Physiology from Northeastern University and a PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Connecticut with a specialty in Sports Studies and Clinical Exercise Science. He also holds and graduate diploma in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University. His academic expertise lies in the areas of health physiology of human movement (clinical rehabilitation and elite performance) and female affective health.
From 2006 to 2008, Dr. Bibi served as Associate Dean at the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University. From 2012 to 2015, Dr. Bibi joined Qatar University as the director of a new academic department in sports science. Under his leadership the department grew from three to 13 international faculty members and from 11 to nearly 200 students in two years. He then became an Associate Dean for New Academic Programs at Georgetown University-Qatar where he worked through the McDonough School of Business and the School of Continuing Studies in Washington, DC, to develop locally delivered programs.
His managerial and academic expertise is in academic program development, with a focus on market responsive programs for non-traditional students.
Dr. Bibi has over 30 peer-reviewed publications in international journals and has edited and authored five books.
