Tyneka Holley


Biography

Tyneka Holley, Ed.D. is an assistant teaching professor in the Graduate School of Education. She joined Northeastern in 2022.

Dr. Holley completed her Ed.D in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Leadership Studies at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her research interests include educational leadership, social justice, diversity, and democracy. Through research, she seeks to uncover systematic inequities and influence more empowering educational and social practices.

Previously, Dr. Holley worked for 20 years in K-12 public school systems in North Carolina as a teacher, instructional coach, school administrator, and central office administrator. She particularly enjoys partnering with diverse schools and their unique communities, facilitating the implementation of district initiatives, as well as planning professional learning opportunities for school administrators and teacher leaders.
