Three words that describe your experience at Northeastern

Courage. Resilience. Growth.

Why Northeastern?

When I was evaluating graduate programs, I had one clear priority: finding a program that could build on my decade of professional experience and elevate it through meaningful learning. I wanted an environment where real-world application was deeply embedded in the academic journey—and where experience and practice were valued alongside theory.

Northeastern stood out immediately.

Its experiential learning model and renowned co-op program create a powerful bridge between academic knowledge and industry practice. Through my co-op experience and on-campus leadership roles, my journey at Northeastern has been deeply immersive and transformative. Every opportunity has allowed me to actively engage, contribute, and grow within the Northeastern community.

What has your journey here revealed about yourself?

Northeastern gave me the space to truly understand my own potential. I discovered how much I am truly capable of—far more than I had ever allowed myself to believe. I learned that my worth is not defined by the ceiling of my past accomplishments. It expands every time I take a risk, cross a boundary, or leave a comfort zone behind.

Most importantly, I learned that there is no timeline on becoming who you were always meant to be. It is never too late to learn, to earn, to begin again, and to become.

Coming to Northeastern didn’t just change my career path. It changed the way I see myself and what I believe I deserve to dream.

Any advice for others considering the College of Professional Studies?

Step out of your comfort zone. Dare to dream big.

If you are sitting on the fence wondering whether it is the right time or the right decision, look at what is possible when you simply decide to begin. There is no perfect moment. There is only the courage to begin.

CPS is built for people who carry real-world experience into the classroom and want to turn it into something greater. The program will challenge you academically, but more than that, it will challenge you personally. It will ask you to grow in ways you didn’t expect.

My biggest advice: show up fully. Not just to class, but to every opportunity CPS puts in front of you—co-op, leadership, community, all of it. The more you give to this experience, the more it gives back.

CPS doesn’t just prepare you for a career. It prepares you for a bigger, bolder version of yourself.

What are some of your hobbies or personal passions?

Outside of academics and work, I am an Indian classical dancer. I have been practicing Bharatanatyam for over a decade and have performed at cultural festivals and competitions across India. Dance is my meditation, my self-expression, and my deepest connection to my roots. I am also an avid reader and enjoy volunteering—because contributing to the people and community around me brings me as much fulfillment as any professional achievement.
