About

Neil Dziemian has more than 25 years of experience using the power of communications to inform, influence, and change behavior.  He is a strategic communications subject matter expert who led the development of communications-related policies and procedures, and has experience leading the entire communications lifecycle, from research, analysis, and strategy development, to execution, measurement, and evaluation on dozens of communications projects. Neil has managed complex organizations with more than 100 personnel to execute strategic communications in challenging, demanding environments, and his experience includes a vast and diverse set of communications vehicles including videos, audio/scripts, printed products, websites, social media, conferences/events, briefings, and media relations.

Mr. Dziemian has served as a consultant since 2008, initially supporting non-profit clients through the Taproot Foundation.  In 2010, Neil joined Deloitte Consulting, where he supported Federal government clients, predominantly in the Defense and National Security sectors for six years.  Here, he focused on projects related to strategic communications, change management, human capital management policy governance, workforce analytics, and training and development.  Since 2017, Neil has led a small, independent consulting practice, focused on supporting clients with digital content strategy and strategic communications planning.  In addition, Mr. Dziemian has been teaching graduate students since 2012.

Prior to consulting, Mr. Dziemian served a 20-year career in Military Information Support Operations – military-specific communications (similar to marketing communications) to influence the emotions, motives, objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of foreign audiences in support of military exercises and operations. Key assignments included Senior Career Manager at the Army Human Resources Command and as Senior Enlisted Advisor on the Joint Staff.

Mr. Dziemian has a master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in Human Resources Management and Development from National-Louis University.  In addition, he maintains certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).  He is also a certified ICEdge trainer for cultural communications.
