Quannah Parker-McGowan


Biography

Quannah Parker-McGowan, PhD, BCBA is an assistant teaching professor in the Graduate School of Education. She joined Northeastern in 2009. Her areas of expertise include special education, Autism Spectrum Disorder and related neurodevelopmental disabilities, and challenging behavior. 


Prior to working at Northeastern, Dr.Parker-McGowan worked as a special education teacher, and administrator. Her publications include articles in Advances in Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Journal of Developmental and Physical Disabilities, and Language, speech, and hearing services in schools.


Dr. Parker-McGowan’s interests centers on the intersection of mental health, trauma, and developmental disabilities in refugee populations abroad and underserved communities within the United States.
