Dr. Susan Gracia is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the MPS in Data Analytics program at CPS. She has a PhD in Educational Measurement, Research and Evaluation from Boston College. Additionally, she completed a Certificate in Data Science at the University of California Irvine and a Certificate in Predictive Analytics at Cornell University. She is a former faculty member in the CPS Graduate School of Education and has been a visiting professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú since 2013. In addition, Dr. Gracia was a tenured associate professor at the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development at Rhode Island College, where she designed and taught a variety of research and evaluation courses for undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees. She is also the former Director of Assessment at the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development at Rhode Island College and Simmons College.
Dr. Gracia is the recipient of the 2012 Fulbright Scholar Grant to Peru and was selected by the Association for Institutional Research as Fellow for the 2012 National Data Institute on the datasets of the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and National Science Foundation (NSF). She also serves as a consultant on analytics, assessment, and evaluation projects for numerous schools, school districts, and universities both inside and outside the US. Her articles have been published in Issues in Teaching and Learning and the Journal of Assessment and Accountability Systems in Educator Preparation. Dr. Gracia is the author of numerous research and evaluation reports, as well as several book chapters, including the most recent, which appears in Assessment & Evaluation Methods in Medical Education.
