Alumni Spotlight: John Lam

For John Lam, movement has always been a language — one he first discovered as a shy kid in California and spent two decades mastering as a principal dancer with Boston Ballet. Now, he’s channeling that same artistry into a new role: founder and artistic director of Lam Dance Works, a nonprofit bringing contemporary dance, education, and opportunity to the Boston community. To build it, Lam turned to CPS — earning his master’s degree in nonprofit management while preparing to launch a venture as bold and mission-driven as the performances he’s spent a lifetime creating.
