Natalya Watson


Biography

Dr. Natalya Watson is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Global Pathways and Immerse Programs at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Education, specializing in Bilingualism and Biliteracy, from the University of Colorado. She also earned a master’s in teaching English as a Second Language with a concentration in Applied Linguistics. Since joining Northeastern in 2013, Dr. Watson has developed and taught courses focusing on research methodologies, discipline-specific language learning, and critical writing for international students. She founded the Student Research Conference and the Student Mentor Program in the Global Pathways. Dr. Watson’s research interests include project-based learning, language learner and teacher identity, and genre pedagogy. Before joining Northeastern, she taught linguistics and second language acquisition in teacher-training programs at the University of Colorado and Metropolitan State University of Denver.
