LPD Scholars Visit Trinidad and Tobago

35 doctoral scholars and six faculty members from the College’s Doctorate in Law and Policy Program (LPD) spent five days in Trinidad and Tobago as part of an “International Immersion Research” initiative at the end of October. The purpose of the visit was to collect data related to the impact of policy and laws on people’s lives.

The article entitled “US doctoral scholars visit TT”, written by Joan Rampersad provides an account of the visit.  “Our students represent the best of cross sectors in the US in terms of the work that they do in their professions, and have chosen to do an executive doctoral programme to be the next best in their professional career paths”stated Holly Carter, PhD, Associate Dean for Faculty and Academic Affairs. The scholars were exposed to domestic and global issues in law and policy, thus continuing to develop as professionals within their respective careers.
