Overview
Northeastern’s Graduate Certificate in Collegiate Athletics Administration is designed for those interested in entering the field of college athletics administration or building towards a master’s degree in sports leadership.
The program provides students with an in-depth understanding of the largest amateur segment of the sports industry- currently comprising over 1200 schools, conferences, and organizations across the United States.
Through the program’s curriculum, students will be given the opportunity to acquire leadership skills and knowledge in a variety of collegiate athletics topics including:
- sports management
- NCAA compliance
- fundraising
- academic advising
- gender and diversity in sport
- Title IX legislation
Upon completion, all credits earned in the Collegiate Athletics Administration Certificate can also be applied directly into the Master of Sports Leadership program.

Some courses and labs have tuition rates that may increase or decrease total tuition. Tuition and fees are subject to revision by the president and Board of Trustees at any time. Select programs at select campuses offer additional scholarships of up to 25% off the listed price for domestic students studying on campus. For students interested in pursuing financial assistance or educational loans, additional educational costs, known as Cost of Attendance (COA) components, can be included in the calculation of aid and loan eligibility. Components may include food, housing, books, course materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, personal expenses, and the cost of obtaining a first professional licensure.
