Overview

The Master of Education in Learning and Instruction degree program is for teachers and leaders in K-12-focused schools and community organizations who want to improve the educational environment while developing the skills they need to become marketable and competitive leaders in education.

Your fellow students are professionals who have worked in the K-12 setting, as leaders in community organizations, researchers and consultants.

Through Northeastern’s hands-on learning model, you’ll design engaging online and mobile environments; develop strategies for motivating students; and practice how to respond to societal and institutional changes that impact online and mobile education.

The program coursework and capstone project prepare students to:

  • effectively implement assessment practices
  • identify changing educational contexts as well as emerging challenges
  • and lead change across the educational spectrum.

After completing this master’s program, graduates are positioned to drive community-based change and broaden their professional understanding of diverse student groups.
