What challenge did you tackle during your co-op?
The Fire Alarm Upgrade Project Implementation- I took on the complex challenge of coordinating a critical safety infrastructure upgrade across multiple Brookline Housing Authority (BHA) properties. This multi-stakeholder project requires ensuring life safety compliance while maintaining housing operations for vulnerable populations including families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities across state and federally funded housing units.
How did you approach solving this complex organizational challenge?
I worked closely with design consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution. I prepared and organized comprehensive project documentation while managing procurement and bid processes. I conducted regular site visits and supported project meetings to maintain quality standards and compliance. I balanced technical requirements with community impact by participating in BHA’s Community Day to understand resident needs. It was important to maintain flexibility in responding to unexpected site issues, shifting timelines, and balancing multiple stakeholder priorities.
