Quality Engineering Co-op at Co-op Company Nova Biomedical Corporation

One key challenge I tackled was the lack of centralized and easily interpretable quality data across multiple departments. Data was spread across different sources, making it difficult for teams to quickly identify trends and make timely decisions. To address this, I worked on consolidating data and developing interactive dashboards using Power BI and Excel. I structured the data in a way that allowed stakeholders from Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Manufacturing to access real-time insights and track key performance metrics more efficiently. As a result, the reporting process became more streamlined, and teams were able to make faster, data-driven decisions with improved visibility into quality performance.

I took a structured and data-driven approach. First, I worked with stakeholders across Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Manufacturing teams to understand their reporting needs and identify gaps in the existing process. This helped me define key metrics and ensure alignment with Quality Management System requirements. Next, I consolidated data from multiple sources and performed data cleaning and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency. I then designed and developed interactive dashboards using Power BI and Excel, focusing on clarity, usability, and real-time insights. Finally, I iterated on the dashboards based on feedback from end users, ensuring the solution was practical and met their needs. This collaborative and iterative approach helped improve data accessibility, streamline reporting, and support faster, data-driven decision-making across teams.
