DAVID MAHONEY

David Mahoney is an assistant teaching professor in the Master of Science in the Regulatory Affairs of Drugs, Biologics, and Medical Devices program. He has taught at Northeastern since 2012.
David has practiced law since 2002, focusing on intellectual property, regulatory and corporate law in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and agricultural industries. David Mahoney currently serves as Senior Corporate Counsel at Johnson & Johnson MedTech. In this role, he provides legal support for the clinical trial, medical and regulatory affairs teams.
Previously, he held the position of Senior Corporate Counsel at Indigo Ag as well as U.S. General Counsel for Lion Bioscience (later renamed Sygnis Pharma) and U.S. General Counsel for Febit, an international biotechnology and scientific device company. His professional experience has also included serving as legal counsel for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the Office of the General Counsel. He was a contributing author for content addressing legal protection of information and personal data in the book, Building the Future of Food Safety Technology, Blockchain and Beyond. He teaches in Boston and online.
