What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s Completion

  • Applicants with no college credit (may only enroll part-time, whether domestic or international online out of country): Official High School transcripts or foreign equivalency showing diploma conferral or Official High School Equivalency Test results (GED, HiSET, etc.)
  • Applicants with some college credit completed in the United States: Official or Unofficial US College transcripts (Please note that unofficial college transcripts may be submitted for application review, but final, official college transcripts will be required for transfer credit evaluation).
  • International Applicants with US high school equivalency and some college credit completed abroad: High School Attestation and official college transcripts for all foreign earned credentials.

Master’s & Graduate Certificates

  • Upload Unofficial Undergraduate Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (personal/unofficial copy needed for application review, but final, official transcripts are required of enrolling students (.pdf or Word)
  • Resumé or CV (.pdf or Word)
  • The Foreign Credential Evaluation (FCE) is a required assessment of all transcripts and documents from non-U.S. accredited post-secondary education institutions. (Review the FCE requirements by country.)
  • English language proficiency proof.

Additional Requirements for Graduate School of Education programs and Toronto and Vancouver campuses only:

  • Two Recommendation Letters from individuals who have either academic or professional knowledge of your capabilities such as a faculty member, colleague, or mentor, preferably one from your current employer.
  • Personal Statement (500-1000 words; .pdf or Word) identifying your educational goals and expectations from the program; please be aware that the university’s academic policy on plagiarism applies to your statement of purpose.

Transfer Credit

Doctorate

  • Upload Unofficial Undergraduate and Graduate Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (personal/unofficial copy needed for application review, but final, official transcripts are required of enrolling students (.pdf or Word)
  • Resumé or CV (.pdf or Word)
  • Three Recommendation Letters from individuals who have either academic or professional knowledge of your capabilities such as a faculty member, colleague, or mentor, preferably one from your current employer.
    • 1 Academic: This letter should come from a former professor or mentor who can speak to your ability to succeed in an academic environment. The recommender should address your capacity to conduct research and write at the doctoral level. If you have been out of school for a long time or are no longer acquainted with your professors, you may ask someone who has evaluated you during a professional training seminar or workshop to compose this recommendation.
    • 2 Professional: One must be from your current supervisor; recommendations should not come from individuals who report to you. Recommenders are encouraged to identify specific examples that highlight your skills and abilities.
  • Personal Statement (500-1000 words; .pdf or Word). Personal statement requirements differ for Doctoral programs. Additional information can be found under “Application Requirements” on the following pages:
