What has your journey at Northeastern University revealed to you about yourself?

Independence: Navigating life in a new city, from handling daily chores to making important decisions, has bolstered my independence. I’ve learned to trust my judgment and capabilities more than I ever did before Resilience: My experience has taught me that I possess more resilience than I initially thought. Navigating the demands of a challenging academic environment while being away from my family, particularly in difficult times, has subtly revealed my inner strength. My Passion for Learning: The dynamic environment at Northeastern has fueled my love for learning. I’ve discovered new interests and a deeper curiosity that goes beyond my major. Time Management Skills: Balancing studies, extracurricular activities, and personal life has honed my time management skills. I’ve learned the importance of prioritizing and organizing my time effectively.

What advice do you have for others considering higher education, either at Northeastern or elsewhere?

Embarking on higher education, whether at Northeastern or elsewhere, is a significant step. From my experience, here’s some advice for those considering this path: Research Thoroughly: Understand what different universities offer in terms of programs, campus culture, location, and opportunities like co-ops or internships. It’s not just about the academic reputation but also how the university aligns with your personal and career goals. Be Open to New Experiences: Higher education is not just about academics. It’s a chance to explore new interests, meet diverse people, and grow personally. Embrace the opportunities that come your way, whether it’s joining clubs, attending workshops, or participating in campus events. Prioritize Time Management: Balancing coursework, extracurricular activities, and personal life is key. Develop a system that works for you to manage your time effectively. It’s crucial for maintaining academic performance and reducing stress. Stay True to Yourself: While it’s important to be open to new experiences, also stay true to your values and goals. University is a time of self-discovery, and maintaining your authenticity is key to your overall well-being and happiness Embrace Challenges: You will face challenges, but these are opportunities for growth. Why are you interested in the degree you’re pursuing? What motivates you?

The pharmaceutical industry is robust and growing, offering a wide range of career opportunities. With this degree, I can explore various paths within the industry, from regulatory strategy and compliance to policy development and advocacy.

Where do you imagine yourself five years after school?

After I graduate, I’m really looking forward to diving into the pharmaceutical industry. I’m aiming for a role where I can apply what I’ve learned. In the next five years, I see myself growing into a leadership position, hopefully working on some impactful projects and maybe even getting some international experience. I also want to keep learning and stay on top of industry trends.
