Provided management and leadership consulting services to over 100 organizations since 1984 after serving in city, state, and federal government, education, and sales positions. During the course of consulting assignments, provided classroom-development programs for over 250 people in 16 organizations.
Taught at the university level with two other academic institutions and published research. Authored eight leadership and management publications. The most-recent publication, "Action Learning in Virtual Higher Education: Applying Leadership Theory," was published in Volume 13, Issue 2 of the journal, Action Learning: Research and Practice, in 2016. The paper reports the history of the course "LDR 6100" at Northeastern University and action learning as a concept as well as how students implemented action learning in my LDR 6100 classes prior to the Summer of 2016. The book, Leadership: 700 Definitions and Ways to Lead, was published in 2022 and a book on supervisory leadership is in the research stage of development.
Received a Doctorate in Management from California Coast University, a Masters in Political Science with a Public Administration Area of Concentration from Eastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a Minor in Social Science from Eastern Illinois University. Have completed additional management, economics, and government courses at other academic institutions as well as numerous training courses in leadership provided by non-academic organizations.
