Additional guest tickets: CPS Graduation Ceremony – Friday, May 20, Boston, MA

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to reserve additional guest tickets for CPS Graduation on Friday, May 20 in Boston, MA. Please be advised that that these tickets are only available on a first come first serve basis and are limited until tickets run out.

Please log into your Marching Order account and go to “Manage Tickets” where you will find the ability to select one or two additional tickets. These tickets will be added to the total amount of tickets you already previously claimed by May 11. If the option to select additional tickets is not available, then that means all tickets for this event have been distributed and no more tickets for the ceremony are available.

Please make sure to print/email each ticket for your guests prior to the ceremony. Valid tickets are required for each person for access to the event, and will be scanned.

Pre-Graduation Ceremony Festivities

College of Professional Studies 2022 Pre-Graduation Celebration

Join CPS Student Experience Division, Faculty & Staff for the first annual College of Professional Studies 2022 Pre-Graduation Celebration on Thursday, May 19, from 3:30pm – 6:30pm ET at Boston Campus, Centennial Common. This celebration is to honor the graduates of the Class of 2022 (and Fall 2021 graduates). Bring your friends, family, or support system to celebrate your accomplishment of finishing a degree program. The celebration will feature:

  • Cap decoration station
  • Large interactive games
  • Food and much more!

If you are interested in attending the event, please RSVP by May 16, 5:00pm ET.

Prepare to Graduate

Applying to graduate is an important step!

All qualified students must submit a graduation application in order to receive their diploma, regardless of whether they plan to attend the graduation ceremony.

All students must submit their application to graduate by the March 18, 2022 deadline in order to:

If you must submit your application after the stated deadlines, please speak with your academic advisor as soon as possible.

Doctoral candidates (EdD, DPT, and DLP programs): Doctoral candidates must be mindful of additional deadlines to complete their dissertation/thesis in time to be eligible for degree conferral and participation in a doctoral hooding ceremony. Please refer to your student resource center or academic advisor ([email protected] for EdD and [email protected] for DLP) for information pertaining to these or any additional steps you should be taking.

• To determine your graduation ceremony date and degree conferral, please use the link below to review the graduation deadlines in which students must complete all requirements.
• Only qualified graduates are eligible to attend a graduation ceremony.
• Please see your Academic Advisor and see dates for the appropriate ceremony

Graduation application deadlines
Review your information about degree, major, and Expected Graduation Date

Begin the graduation process by reviewing your current program information (degree and major).

• Log in to the Student Hub
• Click on Resources Tab
• Click Registrar Self-Service
• Click Student Records
• Click View Student Information
• Choose your term
• Click submit
• Review your information about degree, major, and Expected Graduation Date (EGD)

If any information is inaccurate or you have any questions, reach out to your academic advisor or learner services.
Apply to graduate

• Log onto the Student Hub.
• Click the “Resources” link in the top navigation bar.
• Scroll down to the “Graduation Information” section, choose “Apply to Graduate,” and complete the questionnaire. Note: If you receive an error message or your program information is incorrect, alert your academic advisor.
• After completing the application, you may choose the View Application to Graduate link to review your details and/or to update your diploma mailing address only. You may edit your address no later than 2 weeks prior to graduating.
Complete an exit interview

If you have received a Federal Stafford Loan (subsidized or unsubsidized) or Direct Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loans, complete the exit interviews below.

• Bachelor’s Completion – https://studentloans.gov
• Graduate – https://studentloans.gov

Obtain the diploma

Provided all academic and financial obligations are met, graduates who apply by the deadline will receive their diplomas in the mail at the address provided on their graduation application.

• Diplomas will be mailed four to six weeks after degrees are officially awarded by the Office of the Registrar. International mail requires an additional one to two weeks.
• Graduates will be given advance notice regarding diploma mailing dates. Diplomas cannot be picked up on campus.

Diplomas will NOT be distributed during the ceremony in May.

Attending the Ceremony

You applied to graduate.

You completed all your requirements, and your advisor gave you the great news that you are clear to graduate.

Now it’s time for the best part – the ceremony!

Remember you can only attend graduation exercises if you have applied for graduation and indicated in your application that you plan to attend.

All communication will be sent directly to your Northeastern student email address. Please make sure to keep an eye on your account for all important graduation correspondence and details.

These virtual recognition ceremonies were not a replacement for in-person ceremonies at a future date. These virtual ceremonies were an opportunity for the Northeastern University College of Professional Studies community to acknowledge graduates’ achievements sooner.

The 2020 Summer Virtual Recognition celebration included messages from Dean Mary Loeffelholz, a student speaker, a guest speaker, faculty, and a recognition slide for each graduate.
