The Pulse: July 2026

This month’s Pulse captures something I think about a lot: the range of ways our community shows up for each other.

You’ll find 22 graduates of our PathmakerBIO Biomanufacturing Technician track, trained and ready for roles that keep life-saving biotech operations running. You’ll find CPS named to the inaugural cohort of a new global Innovation Sandbox, connecting us with institutions across the world working on the same hard questions we are. And you’ll find graduates and alums like Yatra Sanjay Rawat and Sunil Purswani, whose stories are a good reminder of why we do this work in the first place.

None of this happens by accident. It’s the result of people across this college — students, faculty, staff — choosing to build, teach, and support one another well.

I hope you take a few minutes with this issue, and that you have a good rest of your summer.

Warmly,

Jared

Congratulations, PathmakerBIO Graduates!

Earlier this month, 22 people finished the Spring cohort of PathmakerBIO’s Biomanufacturing Technician track. They completed eight weeks of intensive training in cGMP principles, FDA regulations, and quality systems, plus hands-on work in cleanroom operations, aseptic technique, cell culture, bioreactor operation, chromatography, and filtration.

This group is trained for roles like Upstream BMT, Downstream BMT, Media Prep Technician, and Buffer Prep Technician, the entry-level positions that keep a biomanufacturing operation running day-to-day.

If you know anyone who is hiring, please reach out to [email protected] and we’d be happy to make a connection! And if you know anyone who might be interested in joining our September cohort, please encourage them to visit us at Pathmakerbio.sites.northeastern.edu to learn more and submit an application.
