Ventilators are incredibly complex machines, which is one reason manufacturers had trouble producing them quickly at the beginning of the pandemic. But now, another shortage looms: the people who know how to use them.

In this episode of the News@Northeastern podcast, Tom Barnesa registered respiratory therapist and lead faculty member for the Master of Science in Respiratory Care Leadership at CPS, talks about the growing need for highly qualified respiratory therapists. Northeastern has recently launched an online Associate to Master’s pathway in Respiratory Care.
