When leaders of Northeastern University’s graduate campus in Charlotte, NC hosted a forum on “Sustainable Energy: Policy and Practice” with the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association, they called on Joan Fitzgerald, director of the Law and Public Policy Program at Northeastern University, for her perspective.

Fitzgerald, the author of Emerald Cities: Urban Sustainability and Economic Development (Oxford Univ. Press, 2010), noted the partisan campaign spending on energy issues, advising advocates of sustainable energy to “look at where the money goes….”
