
Ditchfield AI Scholarship
Thanks to the generous donation of Allan and Priscilla Ditchfield, this scholarship aims to support students from Lynn, Mass. with some college credit and an interest in AI to complete their bachelor’s degree at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies.
Terms of Scholarships + Eligibility
- Accepted to CPS bachelor’s completion program
- Scholarship will cover up to 75% of a student’s tuition. Other scholarships are available for students who qualify. See available scholarships here.
- Attended a community college, earned prior college level-course work including workforce training programs, and/or have expressed interest in AI
- Graduated from Lynn English High School or Lynn Classic High School or Fredrick Douglass Collegiate Academy located in Lynn, Massachusetts
- Students who receive the scholarship must enroll in the academic term they have applied
Other Considerations
- Ditchfield Scholars will be offered an opportunity to earn an Artificial Intelligence certification via a special mini course in AI technology covered by the scholarship– however, students may decline to participate in the course without any impact on their scholarship status.
- This highly competitive opportunity will remain in effect for the duration of a student’s degree program provided they remain in good academic standing. As a priority of this generous gift, monies have been earmarked for developing and deploying professional development for teachers within Lynn Public Schools to amplify their facility with artificial intelligence tools and teaching methodologies. Working with GSE faculty with expertise in AI will be offering professional development to Lynn educators in late summer/early fall.
- All Lynn-area prospective students are encouraged to apply. Strong consideration will be given to first-generation college students.
